Paul Kelleher joined the Department of Medical History and Bioethics as an Assistant Professor in August 2009. Before joining the department, he was a post-doctoral research fellow in the Program in Ethics and Health at Harvard University. Paul specializes in political philosophy and is primarily interested in the nature of distributive justice and its implications for health policy. His current research and teaching interests include: public health ethics, the foundations of societal obligations to protect and promote population health, ethical issues in health care priority setting and resource allocation, and the proper response to moral disagreement in bioethics, health care policy, and the regulation of the medical professions.
